About Marion I.S.D.
Location
Marion Independent School District contains an area of 80.38 square miles located in Guadalupe County in South Central Texas. Campuses are located off of State Highway 78, approximately four miles from Interstate 10 and twelve miles from Interstate 35 in Marion, Texas. Estimated population of the District is 5,000. The City of Marion is approximately nine miles northeast of Randolph Air Force Base, nine miles southwest of Seguin, twelve miles south of New Braunfels, and twenty-five miles northeast of San Antonio. Marion ISD is bordered by Seguin, New Braunfels, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City, Comal, La Vernia and East Central Independent School Districts.

Curriculum and Educational Programs
Curriculum offerings in the District comply and extend beyond the requirements of HB 246. The District not only offers a wide variety of opportunities in every subject area, but provides for the needs of special populations as well.
Students in the District are competitive with their counterparts in the State and Nation in most achievement areas.
Extra-curricular activities are available to students in sports, fine arts, vocational arts, and leadership. A concerted effort is made by the District to meet the needs of students at-risk through enhanced counseling and enrichment programs.
